That's FreeBSD 8.2 and clang 2.9, the latter with no special options so I suppose it uses -Warray-bounds by default.
On the other hand, I just tried on an Ubuntu 11 system (that has python 2.7 as well) with gcc and -Warray-bounds and there was no warning.
