Just wondering if anyone has thought of porting GNU Backgammon as a web app (that could be used offline) maybe using Chrome's Native Client? (Full disclosure: I work for Google!) I understand this is not trivial, given (for a start) the use of GTK+.
You could try with a Gtk+ broadway. It requires GTK+3.2 (on the client side, I guess), and HTML5 supported browser.
Check Alexander Larssons. (Do a web-search)
I also realise you might well ask 'Why?' :)... The short answer is that I'd love people to be able to play gnubg in a browser, online or offline, without the need to install a desktop application.
True! That's the way things are going.
