At least for the first part.

Did you do as I suggested late in February? I posted a response to a bug
report you submitted:

The dice in GNUBG are not adjusted to favor the human or computer. You
could try manually entry (roll dice on your desk/table and enter them in
the computer). Selecting the dice from random.org will utilize numbers
generated outside of GNUBG.

The only way to make it easier to beat GNUBG is to set it on lower skill
levels. If you select easier levels than Expert, it will also go out of
its way to make some random plays that can be rather bad.
