Hi,

Thanks for the patch.

Having StepTalk dependent on readline is not a good idea, so I have cloned 
SimpleTranscript to ReadlineTranscript. Code is available in the StepTalk CVS, 
including a test script test.st (stexec test.st).

Feel free to extend it to suit your needs.
