Took me a while to get around to this one, but it's done. I have added some
preliminary functionality along these lines to Gorm. Please test it and let
me know if there are any issues. To test it you simply select NSView or one
of it's subclasses from the classes view and instantiate it. GJC

Category: Gorm
Severity: 2
Item Group: Change Request
Resolution: Fixed
Assigned to: gcasa
Status: Closed

Summary: Gorm should support instantiating views without storing them in
windows.

Original Submission: An older practice which was inherited by Gorm is the idea
of creating views in a deferred or invisible window and switching between them
as needed. Although this works, it is not very optimal.

Gorm should support instantiating views in a similar fashion. GJC

Gorm should support instatiating standalone views such that the developer does
not need to explicitly create an extra window to hold them in Gorm. GJC
