Follow-up Comment #1, bugs #12129 (project gnustep):

It seems back should consider font encoding while loading it
and then alter the behavior of

-(void) _generateGlyphsForRun: (glyph_run_t *)run  at: (unsigned int)pos

to match glyph by index (in case that unicode matching paradigm actually
work for standard fonts - I think the submitter test this on iso8859-11,
a free Thai font) Though, alexm told me he will rework this API so it may
not work in future. May be you can provide a link to the font image (Loma
font?)
