Follow-up Comment #1:
GWorkspace was using only the application name ([[name lastPathComponent]
stringByDeletingPathExtension]) to launch the application.
But this can't work for a new installed app because NSWorkspace, in
-fullPathForApplication:, uses its applications cache to find the path and
the cache is created by running make_services.
