I think there's a bug in the startup package that installs ffcall even though you specify libffi. You might need to install libffi yourself and run InstallGNUstep again.

The startup packages use the latest releases and very rarely include patches for critical problems.

Also, for those who don't have '.' in their PATH it might be nice to call

       ./InstallGNUstep

instead of plain

       InstallGNUstep

in the Makefile.


Finally, I was wondering if the gnustep-startup ppackage uses the latest patches of the various components.
