Details:

In a GNUmakefile, when you have a line such as:

APPNAME_OBJCC_FILES=somefile.mm

It appears as though it is trying to use g++ for some reason.  This could be a
configuration issue on my part but when I force it by invoking:

CXX=clang++ make

it appears to use clang++ instead of g++.
