Making these extensions-like don't prevent it to be enabled by default.

Right.

So at the moment, it seems we have two repositories, two streams of
development, two sets of patches, and one package name :). And, most
important, we have (as far as I know) the same goal.

(Sorry for any confusion we have contributed on that front. When we
started using the name iceweasel a year or so ago, we had no idea there
was a Debian project by that name, or that the name came from anywhere
other than rms's brain.)

So, can we, um, officially combine forces here, one way or another? We
could either use your repositories (if they can be accessible), or
savannah, or maybe both in some way or another, but let's not duplicate
our efforts. Ok?

Personally, I'd be happy to make you and Alexander and whoever else
developers on the savannah project, if you want to go that way. I see
no reason for you to have to funnel changes through others.

Also, I recently learned that savannah *does* now support git (and got
an intro cheat sheet on it). If you want to go that route instead of
CVS, I can try to set it up administratively. From all I've heard, it
would be a better infrastructure.

Thanks,
Karl
