I will try to send you more information about the host rewrite feature.
Basically it checks in the C++ file when the host part of a HTML element is
changed and notify the observers about it (IIRC the observer is in firefox.js).
I don't know if it is possible to render this an extension, as the observed
event wasn't present before my hack.
