Hi,I cloned the source of gnuzilla. Interestingly, when it got downloaded, first and fore most had no clue what to do with it(as I am a beginner). Then after a lot of search here and there, I finally decided that I will launch "makeicecat" script available in the source directory. Now when I did, to my surprise the file did not have execute permissions. So I changed the permission. then I ran it again. And this time it started executing, and like a charm it was processing. Until after a while when it stopped complaining something about "debian-ish"(unfortunately I forgot to capture the error. The thing ran for almost over an hour, and finally no success. I halted somewhere after "rebranding" stuff.
Please help me here, anybody. How I can successfully build IceCat from source(preferably the gnuzilla way). Do I need to play around a little with the script file, and if yes, then in what direction should I be looking to make modifications. I am running an ubuntu distro(x86_64_gnu_linux). Please, please. I want to run and adopt IceCat(the free one).
Thanks and Regards Nalin Ranjan
