these systems don't have ``glibc'' (GNU libc); they have their own
version of libc.  That's why grep build with it's own regex, as if you
called ./configure --with-included-regex .
It doesn't use the system's regex.

I won't try to fix this for 2.5.1a.  There is no regression from 2.5.1.

Yes, this is very valuable.  I'll move to current autotools soon, then I'll
ask you to try again.  And we have to look to FreeBSD's patches.

I hope we'll get this fixed for 2.5.2.
