Follow-up Comment #12, bugs #12210 (project grep): MB_CUR_MAX depends on LC_ALL (or equivalent) and indeed it does not work with LC_ALL=C or LC_ALL=en_US.iso88591, yet it does with LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8. We're wasting our time. This is already covered by Red Hat's "grep-2.5.1-oi.patch". I had not noticed it had not yet been incorporated in CVS. It's available from :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/dist devel/grep/grep-2.5.1-oi.patch and <http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/devel/grep/>. It seems it's in glibc since 2002-02-26: <http://sourceware.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/libc/posix/regex.h.diff?r1=1.23&r2=1.24&cvsroot=glibc&f=h>. Ok to close this bug? _______________________________________________________ This item URL is: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=12210> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
