There is nothing wrong with referring to the package/project/software as "Grep", especially in a title or at the beginning of a sentence. Only when referring specifically to the name of the binary need we be careful to write it in lower case. On that web page particularly, I'd say the changes were unnecessary, but on the other hand they do no harm.
However, you did a thoroughly good job of lowercasing it in the docs and throughout the source tree, in a way that I think no-one can dislike, and made some other good changes at the same time, so I say "Well done." That's another "bug" report dealt with.
