URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55004> Summary: Makefile variables expanded in man page text are not properly escaped Project: GNU troff Submitted by: gbranden Submitted on: Sat 10 Nov 2018 02:07:32 PM UTC Category: None Severity: 2 - Minor Item Group: Documentation Status: In Progress Privacy: Public Assigned to: gbranden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Makefile variables can contain characters that need to be escaped when interpolated in man page text. The most notable case is that of hyphen-minus characters in file specifications. For instance, ".../site-tmac/..." needs to be ".../site\-tmac/..." in man page text. I have a patch for this. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55004> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
