preferably the hotkey can be configured in menu.lst.  IMO it wouldn't
be very useful to have hotkeys based on the position in the list or
the name of the entry. I have about 6 or 7 entries in my menu.lst, but I
only use 3 of them very often, so i'd like to have hotkeys for those -
but they shouldn't change just because I add an entry to menu.lst or I
move/swap entries in menu.lst (and besides, I want to choose the
hotkeys myself so I can easily remember them :).
