Serial support - one more point

Hello GRUB people,

sorry for speaking about this topic again, but I see a problem
in the now developed strategy concerning serial support.

The problem I see is, that the menu file or the preset menu file is
executed after the ethernet probes, etc.
But on machines having no monitor or similar (and this is often on
embedded
systems, I cannot see, "why the ethernet is not working", etc.

I did a patch for that, Mr. OKUJI has that good idea of the preset menu.
This is very helpful (although I thought the menu is executed in any
case,
not only if the promary is not found).

But this cannot be a real solution for embedded systems not having any
screen.

On the other side, there is nearly no BIOS, too, which can handle poorly
the
serial line.

With friendly regards
        Christoph P.
