Thanks for the reply. I tried the commands given by you.

After execution of the command

root ( hd0,0) the message is following:
   Filesystem type is fat, partition type 0xc

After exceuting kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 ro

message is " Error: File not Found"

After execution of

boot

Error: Cannot boot without kernel loaded.



There are several commands under help but I do not know the parameters for
these.  Could you please help me, somebody had installed grub on my
computer. Thanks
