The OpenBoot is a very interesting boot monitor and I really like it.
But for loading kernels, the boot loader always has to load an loader
before. For Linux it is SILO, for netbooting any OS (Linux, SunOS),
a loader (mini kernel) is loaded which then changes to NFS load the
kernel for the OS itself.

With GRUB we have the chance to have a very good all in one solution
loading ELF, Linux and kernels following the multiboot spec. Further
netboot and local boot can be controlled conveniently. Further BOOTP/
DHCP can be used instead of this RARP stuff of the old days.

The only thing I wish is not to "replace" OpenBoot by GRUB.We should
think about a solution of intergration of OpenBoot and GRUB, but in
the moment I have no idea, how this can be made...

Bye
