splash screen |

Hello,
I use grub as it ships with RH 7.2
I was installing a custom graphical splash screen and accidentally installed
an XPM that was 1280x1024 with 16 colors.
As a reaction to that, grub failed to boot alltogether. Instead of showing
me the bootscreen it crashes and reboots the system. I (obviously) had to
use a rescue CD to get into my system again.
Even though it is a typical example of 'my own stupid fault' I think that
grub should not crash and reboot, but instead maybe should fallback to
textmode?
By the way, the splasscreen directive is missing from the info pages. I
would like to know which boundary conditions are defined for these
splasscreens.
Take care, and I really do like grub!
Peter.
