I'm a newbie.
I hvave installed rh7.3 insted of win98 on my notebook.
It was not so smart from because i could'nt access the bios (toshiba
from 99 ). I did make a disc for install rh, but of course I lost them.
When I trie to restart the notebook after a perfect installation, the
computer stopped because it couldn't see the pcmcia card.
I try several times and decide to format it all and reinstall win until
I get more experience.
Now my computer is formatted, but as I can't access the bios, I can't
change from where the beast have to boot.
Each time I try to put a CD or a disk in it, it start on it but change
to GRUB.
All that I have now is a blinking notebook like :
grub>_
I just can use the command wich are in the grub, but I just don't know
what to do or write to get it started and install Mandrake ( as I heard
there is no problem with the pcmcia card ).
I know it's not a bug but I am not the first as I'm looking on the net.
Is that possible for you to help ? like " GRUB for dummies" ?.
I would like to know more but I'm still short in Unix/Linux world.
Thank's for your time
Jean Christophe
