We make it a principle not to apply our own patches to the
network drivers. The canonical way is to submit patches
to Etherboot, then we can incorporate your changes from
Etherboot. I'm sorry that this isn't mentioned explicitly
anywhere.

Thanks,
Okuji

Summary: Support for 3com Mini-PCI 3c556B CardBus adapter

Original Submission: I was trying to use pxegrub to perform a diskless boot of
an IBM Thinkpad T20 laptop, but I discovered that the built-in Ethernet
hardware (3Com 3c556B Mini-PCI) was not supported by the GRUB. I compared the
Linux 3c59x driver with the GRUB 3c90x driver, and came up with a simple patch
to support the 3c556B. I can vouch that it works for me on my T20.

Since this patch adds support for more hardware and changes so little, I
suggest applying it. Thanks!

(You might be wondering why anybody would want to boot a diskless laptop.
Think "automated OS installation".)
