Looks like LBA is turned on automatically, there's no choice to turn it
off. and it had a property for max. lba size or something, so i take
it, it's understanding the LBA thing.
OTOH, I also noticed that there is a setting for Multi-Sector Transfers,
and its choices are: "Disable, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, Maximum" - mine was set
to maximum. I am wondering based on this article:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=qbjkjuk07rfouov115pabkd30tfmo80kmq%404ax.com&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26q%3D%2522L%2B02%2B02%2B02%2522%2Bgrub%2Blilo%2B%2522GRUB%2BGRUB%2BGRUB%2522%26sa%3DN%26tab%3Dwg
if that might be part of the problem?
thanks.
