Hi,
I would like to ask if it is possible or if anyone has set up grub
with a MO (Mageneto Optical Disk) that has the 2k (2024) sectors.
I use FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE and can label them and format them to ufs
and no worries reading or writing to them.
What would I have to do to make grub work on it, the reason is that I
have the 1.3GIG dirve and want to change to the late that has 2.3GIG
and it would make it nice to have a complete system on there and use
it for repairs or crashes, much better then a CD-ROM.
I have a Adaptec SCSI controller, so when I switch off my drives I
can boot from the MO, which i Have as FreeDOS/PC-DOS 7 and FreeBSD on
a 540MB drive and it all works well, so the next thing would be to
have larger capacity with MO and a bootloader?
I appriciate any help and would oblidge to any test too.
Ernst
