I'm trying to figure out how savedefault and grub.conf interact (if at all)
to choose the default boot image.
Is the default image number in grub.conf/menu.lst used if I have set:
setdefault --default=#
at some point in the past from the grub shell?
I assume that since the --once option only affects the next boot, then
without the --once option the change is permanent. However, if that is the
case then when is grub.conf/menu.lst used and how does grub know when not to
use it?
thanks
brett
