Does serial console work without VGA cards? |

Hi,
I've installed RedHat Linux 9 and found it is using
GRUB-0.93-4 as its boot loader. I want to use serial
console, so configured grub.conf to specify "serial --unit=0
--speed=9600" and "terminal --dumb serial".
This works fine if I leave VGA card in the system. However,
if I took VGA card out, GRUB won't run. System stuck when
GRUB tried to show something. For example, if I specify
timeout, GRUB shows press any key message for a while
through serial line, then stuck.
Is this problem already solved in the current version? If
not, please fix this problem. Thank you.
