(sorry if this got posted twice, my MTA screwed up.)

Ok.

So I've gotten farther now. To recap:
I'm running Windows XP and Redhat 9 and trying to run VMWare inside of Redhat to boot my Windows XP partition.

I have grub installed on /dev/hda which is where Windows is installed. / dev/hdb contains my linux installation (along with the /boot/grub directory).

The machine boots fine. I can select Windows or Linux and get into either. The trouble is with VMWare. When I try to run a VMWare session booting the XP partition, the system starts to load, I get the GRUB message, and then GRUB Stage 1.5 and then it hangs.

I was getting error 21, but was able to get around that by manually specifying the geometry of both drives manually, but now it just merely hangs.

I have grub's main menu set to text mode, and I'm not sure where to go from here. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know...this rebooting into Windows to run the two windows apps that I need and aren't available for linux is starting to wear me down.

Thanks much!

Todd
