Installing GRUB to a floppy image?

Hi All,

I have installed GRUB to my hdd, but I'd like to install it to a floppy disk 
image (.img file).  The reason for this is so I can boot up a linux system 
from a cdrom, like a LiveCD.  However, I am not sure how exactly to get it 
to install to a image file, not a floppy disk.  I have copied all the 
necessary files to the img file, but I can't use the setup command on it.  
Does anyone know how to do this?
