  ...THAT'S IT!

  My default alias for compiling sets the CFLAGS ans CXXFLAGS to get
  most out of my Athlon XP.

  I unset both and recompiled grub and: TADA! All 1 tests passed!

  Yes, especially for those, who set wrong flags in sense of not
  producing reliable code. That means not only make check will fail
  but also the Linux Box is no longer bootable anymore!
