Hello, I use double booting for Suse Linux 10.1 and XP Pro managed by GRUB. Each of the 2 OS is on a different hard drive. hdb1 is running XP and hdb2 Linux. I recently ad to reinstall XP and, hence, lost GRUB double booting. To reinstall it I used instructions in 3918735 created and modified on 20 November 2006. After "reboot" I got the following message: "Grub --install copies GRUB images into the DIR/ boot directory specified by --root.directory and uses the Grub shell to install grub into the boot" "address@hidden" When I rebooted, GRUB is not detected. The system goes directly to hdb1 and boots from XP. Do you have a correction for GRUB reinstallation? could it be that I should replace hdb2 by hdb1 where GRUB booter belongs? Thanks for your help jo atallah |
