"error: found two disks with number 1" - Grub refuses to update

Hi everyone,

I tried to update my Debian squeeze system today, but
unfortunately it failed for the grub-updating part. I'm not quite
sure if it's the right place to report it here or if I should send
a bugreport to the Debian folks, but there was this
address@hidden mail address in the output, so I'm going to try
to get some feedback here first :).

The harddisk setup shouldn't be that complicated here, it's just a
RAID1 with a luks container with a LVM which has a single PV, the lukes
container, which has single VG which has three LVs:

Now aptitude refuses to update grub-pc and the linux-image as grub
fails to update itself on /dev/sda and /dev/sdb:

Any ideas what might be going wrong? I don't dare to reboot the
