Details:
Description of the problem:
=============================
The gettext command currently has no option for saving the result in a
variable or otherwise getting it into a menu entry title (or anywhere else but
printed on screen). As far as I can tell, while the C gettext function is used
everywhere for translating error messages and the like, the gettext
grub-script funtion is currently only meant for testing the underlying gettext
functionality.
Feature request:
================
gettext should have an equivalent use to the C gettext one. That means that
the same way a variable is parsed the gettext function should be detected and
parsed accordingly.
The main reason for requesting this feature is for implementing translations
at grub runtime.
