Grub2 new update maybe corrupt bios on many lenovo-hp laptops

Greetings to all,
It`s a fact that the new update of Ubuntu 17.10 somehow overwrites all the access of a regular bios boot process. In my point of view there is a bug on the new grub release, but I cannot locate it, can someone verify it or/and check it out?
