Yes, I can confirm this behaviour.  I've opened a bug report for it.
If you want to follow progress on fixing it, you can add yourself to

Yes, I think we should be able to handle this key sequence (although I
haven't actually looked in to it yet) and register it as a single
error, rather than resetting out the whole drill.
