This works:
zgrep -9 marclatz syslog-20131031.gz | wc -l
19
And this:
zgrep -C 10 marclatz syslog-20131031.gz | wc -l
21
This does not work:
zgrep -10 marclatz syslog-20131031.gz | wc -l
gzip: marclatz.gz: No such file or directory
2092205
But this works:
gunzip -c syslog-20131031.gz | grep -10 marclatz | wc -l
21
