Sure, if you start with the idea that guile should be at the core of
the console, then this would be how to do it.  But it isn't, and
probably never will be.  I told you how you can extend the design of
the console I have written to do what you want to do (at least to the
extent you were specific about it) without ripping it apart.  But it
seems apparent that this is not what you want to do.

So, if you disagree at that fundamental level, then I am afraid you
have to start from scratch.  In this case, please refrain from making
attacks on the current code base, or on the suggestions on how to
improve it along the way it was designed.  It will be a much more
pleasant experience for everybody involved if you instead develop your
alternative independently.
