cards work?

   cardmgr ought to detect by cis content, etc. as well (quite like
   linux's implementation does)

You probobly mean GNU/Linux, Linux cannot run cardmgr without an
operating system like a variant of GNU.

Would it be possible to port cardmgr to GNU/Hurd without many
headaches?
