Hello!

Thanks! I've been considering to replace the `cross-gnu' shell script by
a Makefile, but so far found no compelling reason to do so. I will have
a look at your Makefile sometime later.

Please DO NOT stick raw files into wiki pages! Put them online somewhere
and then send a link to <web-hurd@gnu.org> or privately to me. Then I
(or some other webmaster) will decide where to put them up.
I've done the following additional changes:
| commit 9d373d1c0f30422a9bf39b57a9142c91cd59019f
| Author: Thomas Schwinge <tschwinge@gnu.org>
| Date: Sun Nov 25 15:58:48 2007 +0100
|
| hurd/building/cross-compiling: Stick the `Makefile' into a separate file.
As commented above.
| commit 6d9c10d4544a07337b6eeff7ff2880b06e63a313
| Author: Thomas Schwinge <tschwinge@gnu.org>
| Date: Sun Nov 25 16:06:44 2007 +0100
|
| hurd/building/cross-compiling/Makefile: Copyright has been assigned
| to the FSF as per web-commit
| d0d3fe0cce1b6b925b892a1648682f6cfa0d1b0b. Use GPLv2+.

I also replaced ``terms of the GNU General Public License version 2'' by
``terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free
Software Foundation; either version 2, or (at your option) any later
version.''
| commit ce68e01b053e29788f010daca627913048c64336
| Author: Thomas Schwinge <tschwinge@gnu.org>

|
| hurd/building/cross-compiling: Use proper ikiwiki (Markdown)
| syntax. Link to the `Makefile'.
If you need verbatim output then DO NOT use HTML `<pre>' tags, but use
the proper ikiwiki (Markdown) syntax: put four spaces in front of every
line. This is explained in
<http://www.bddebian.com/~wiki/helponformatting/>: ``To write a code
block, indent each line with a tab or 4 spaces''. Perhaps this advice is
not as obvious as it could be; I'll file a clarification request with
ikiwiki's upstream, Joey Hess. You did read this page, right?
I also already had to do such changes quite often in past: have a look at
<http://www.bddebian.com/cgi-bin/wiki-ikiwiki.cgi?do=recentchanges> and
search for ``syntax'' in there and have a look at the diffs. Perhaps
people will learn this one day...

Thomas
