Bingo!  Where is libc located at?
What does
  /usr/bin/file /path/to/libc.so.*
give, if you put in the correct path?

Please replace $CC with the compiler you use and retry.

It'd be even greater if you could retry with a recent Libtool.
But that can wait until after we fix the libc location.
