Libprelude shipped with libtool 1.5.x up to version 0.9.21.2, all
upcoming version will ship with libtool 2.2.

The libltdl version included in the libprelude source is the one
imported from libtool, so that is libltdl 1.5.x if libtool 1.5.x is
used, or libltdl 2.2.x if libtool 2.2.x is used.

Then if libltdl 1.5.x (rather than 2.2.x) is installed system wide, I'm
not sure whether libtool 2.2.x configure stuff will choose to use it or
not.

That's correct, this mean all future libprelude version should have the
workaround enabled, to be bullet proof for existing application that
still rely on libtool 1.5.x

Are there other problem that this workaround doesn't address?
