Hi Neil,
It's measured in half staff-spaces, so the default length is 7 (i.e., 3.5
> staff-spaces).
Quite apart from the height estimation, what is the supposed correct
semantics of 'length anyway?
It looks like it's interpreted as the distance between the end of the
stem and the midline??
(This is the second part of the bug I am describing in the original
"Description" field of 1056).
