Comment #2 on issue 1201 by hanwenn: GUB regtest building flakey? http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1201The processes split using fork, so they are completely independent. YOu should be able to repro if you just rerun the command line for the one child processing the faulty file.
You could try running the file through lily using valgrind to catch dubious memory accesses
