Comment #4 on issue 1312 by pnorcks: LilyPond may unrequestedly switch
fonts when using non-roman scripts
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1312
This seems to be two bug reports in one:
1) The inclusion of a non-roman script in a string of text changes the
entire font.
2) The rendering of one or more of the non-roman scripts is incorrect.
The first report about the font change *is* valid, but I would consider
that a feature request; it would be nice if we could support multiple font
families within a single piece of markup. Pango supports a special syntax
for manual, inline overrides using a PangoAttrList (see
http://library.gnome.org/devel/pango/unstable/PangoMarkupFormat.html).
Autodetection of outlier glyphs with Pango may also be possible, but I
would have to look into it some more...
The second report is probably not valid (on the LilyPond side). The
original poster may have been using 2.12, which doesn't have the Pango
fixes from 2.13, and there is a chance my recent fix for issue 1407 would
improve rendering of the original poster's issue.
