I'd rather not scrap it (at least, not long-term) -- a non-deterministic
use of memory sounds like a good, low-priority, no-rush project that a Frog
could tackle. (granted, the non-determinism may be from the reporting
mechanism rather than the actual memory usage).

it looks like there isn't a set conversion between cells and bytes, which
is a pity because that could be useful in conjunction with other profiling
tools.
