Comment #2 on issue 1714 by address@hidden: Build error regarding mf2pt1 with latest texlive (2011) and lilypond
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1714

Thanks for adding this to the tracker and for looking into the problem.

The value in my texmf.cnf is
MPMEMS = .;$TEXMF/web2c{/$engine,}

Mine is the same.

What exactly is the `latest texlive'?

Sorry, I chose the wrong words. I don't have the latest snapshot.
Here's some info regarding my versions and build dates:

$ y -Qi texlive-bin | grep -i build
Build Date : Sun 05 Jun 2011 05:12:05 AM MDT

$ y -Qi texlive-core | grep -i build
Build Date : Sat 04 Jun 2011 04:30:47 PM MDT

$ tex -v
TeX 3.1415926 (TeX Live 2011/Arch Linux)
kpathsea version 6.0.1

I may be able to test TeXLive from SVN to see if the problem persists.

Now I'm curious about the "texlive-workaround" patch(es) that Arch uses and if they're relevant here. The stable LilyPond 2.14.1 is built using the patch shown here: ( http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/tree/lilypond/repos/community-x86_64/texlive-workaround.patch ). Also, there is a "lilypond-git" build script that uses a new patch to address the problem I reported. Please see http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17366 for more details. I just tested the new patch and it works nicely.

Let me know if you need more info.

Best regards,

Marc

PS: Thanks for all the work you guys do on LilyPond! It's an amazing
piece of software.
