It would be at least _one_ data point if LilyPond (and LilypondTool) worked  
on 10.3.9.  If you consider upgrading to 10.4, be aware that it is common  
for newer versions to have larger resource requirements.  If the system is  
in active use, that could become a nuisance if the 10.3.9 installation is  
not kept in parallel.
