Follow-up Comment #2, bug #21823 (project make):
You are right. I just thought it was worth reporting the error because the
test for NULL indicates something is "fishy." BTW,
imho I would assume all the statements in a program serve a
purpose, specially those that cannot be caught by the compiler's
dead code removal. Should this report be closed?
