Hi,

I'm installing make-3.82 from source into my home directory (don't
ask) on a CentOS 5.6 system, and I'm using this command to do it:

  configure --prefix=`echo ~`

Configure then does its thing, and at the end says:

...
checking if malloc debugging is wanted... no
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating glob/Makefile
config.status: creating po/Makefile.in
config.status: WARNING: 'po/Makefile.in.in' seems to ignore the
--datarootdir setting config.status: creating config/Makefile
config.status: creating doc/Makefile
config.status: creating w32/Makefile
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: executing depfiles commands
config.status: executing default-1 commands
config.status: creating po/POTFILES
config.status: creating po/Makefile
config.status: creating build.sh

Just thought you might want to check that --datarootdir warning.

Thanks for the years of great code!
