Ok, went back and checked ... No ncursesw.h anywhere. Removed all traces of libncurses and in the ncurses source did a make distclean. Then a ../configure --with-shared --prefix=/usr followed my : make ... then a make install .... Still .. no ncursesw.h ... this is ncurses 5.7 version. Thanks ...
